Destroyed gathering place from a former campaign against the Dervishes of the authorthies in Iran
According to a report from Majzoban Noor; intelligence service and police have summoned those whose homes were used as a gathering place for the Nematollahi Gonabadi Dervishes. The Dervishes were then held against the law and were interrogated with pressure and intimidated for signing the documents that would lead to the closing of the gathering places.
According to the report, several officers entered the house of Mr. Safvot on Thursday afternoon May 6th as well. This house was also one of the houses used as a gathering place for the Dervishes of the Nematollahi Gonabadi order in the city of Behbahan. It was closed down for reasons that the so called security forces claimed as illegal behavior.

24 Dervishes of the Nematollahi Gonabadi order were charged for disrupting public order through illegal gathering, and were sentenced to imprisonment, flogging and exile to deprived areas.
The sentences were handed out by the criminal court, Branch 101, in the city of Gonabad. The names of the 24 Dervishes sentenced to prison, flogging and exile, are as follows:

According to the report, 14 dervishes were sentenced to three years of probation with the consequence of three months and one day in jail along with the penalty of twenty-five lashes that were carried out immediately. Also 10 others Dervishes by the names:

- Alireza Abbasi
- Nazar Ali Marvi Shahri
- Mohammed Marvi Shahri
- Shokrollah Hosseini
- Ali Kashani Far
- Mohammad Kashani
- Ehsan Amanyan
- Ramin Soltankhah
- Zafar Ali Moghimi
They were sentenced with the excuse of playing leader roles in the gathering on July last year, and provoking the other defendants. The penalty for them was five months imprisonment, fifty lashes and one year compulsory exile to live in deprived areas.
The report adds that one part of the court's decision it states: "The gathering of hundreds in front of agencies is definitely causing chaos and traffic difficulties and gatherings and demonstrations without obtaining permission from authorities is considered illegal," while the subjects mentioned in the court was in contradiction to Article 27 of the Iranian constitution were it states that peaceful protests, including the citizens claiming their rights in the country needs no license and the government is obliged to secure such demonstrations.
It is important to mention that on July last year the family of one of the Gonabadi Dervishes was prohibited by the security forces and thus were not able to bury their loved one in the personal family grave which they had bought in the Mazare Soltani cemetery in the city of Beidikht. Following this action, the wife of the deceased along with his two children and relatives, objected to this illegal act of the security forces and were thrown into jail. This led to a gathering of people outside of the City Hall demanding the immediate release of the detainees. Unfortunately, this peaceful community acting out on their legal right was encountered with violence from the Police guards and tear gas was shot into the crowd while some were beaten and arrested among the mass.
