(Online-Artikel.de) - Keeping Spammers at Bay with the hep of ASP

Spamming has become a major problem with website owners as they receive hundreds of comments and other data just to gain a back link from your website just to be cash in on the PR or popularity of your website. Manual control can be put in place where the website traffic and the number of spam received is less but if the magnitude of spam grows you ought to put in an automatic tool that will not only block and delete the spam but will also be able to put in place a mechanism where the spammers' IP is no longer able to post on your site/blog. There are numerous abusive computers all across the world which is in the never ending process of posting back links to all the websites and blogs they can find.

A basic solution to handling this situation can be put in place with a simple code on your website that would surely make the abusive computers work overtime to post back links. A SQL query may be needed to run on the .net engine to calculate the number of spammers that are posting backlines on your web space. The very first and second IP's will show the maximum results of IP's that if you ban will drop the amount of spam to 70-80%. This happens as the same machine will attempt to post the same content and links time and again to your website/Blog. A ASP.NET Application would be enough to block the rogue computers that are posting the back links on your website and although it's not a solution yet it will not take more than an hour to be fixed on the website and the unwanted content is easily blocked.

You need to develop a code in IHttpModule compile it in the class lib. And then all you have to do is drop it in the application's bin directory on the server. You have a choice of creating a stored procedure that will run at a reasonable period. You need to check the spammers that keep banging on the website keep posting their stuff and in the meanwhile keep changing their IP's. Here you need to make sure that the same URL is being used for the back link and the same comment is coming again and again. Once all this is done you have a choice of blocking the users that keep coming back to spam your website/blog. It's a personal decision if you want them to know that they have been blocked. For more details on Code Protection technology, .net Obfuscator, .net Code Security and .net Code Security feel free to visit us at www.secureteam.net
